Cheekbones
Defined cheekbones enhance your profile and add structure to the area beneath and beside your eyes. This gives the face a slimmer appearance, adds character, and creates a more youthful look.

Duration
Around 6-12 months.

Who is the Treatment Suitable For?
- For patients who have lost volume in the cheek area due to the natural aging process.
- For younger patients who want fullness and a more contoured appearance in the cheekbone area.
Treatment Goals
- With the treatment, we restore volume and softness to your face. By shaping the cheekbones with hyaluronic acid, you will see an immediate effect and get a fullness that tightens the skin.
- The current trend among younger patients is to create a beautiful cheekbone contour. Although this can be achieved in part with makeup, filler treatments provide spectacular and more natural results.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is the Treatment Performed?
The treatment begins with an analysis of your face. You will then receive advice from your treating physician, and together you will agree on the desired result.
The filler will then be injected using a very thin needle. The injection depth varies depending on the individual, but we generally inject deeper into the skin when it comes to the cheeks.

Is the Treatment Painful?
Nova Cosmetics' fillers contain lidocaine, a numbing agent. Therefore, you will experience a numbing and pain-relieving effect during the treatment as well as in the initial period afterward.
For those who feel the need, it is also possible to apply a numbing cream before the treatment.
What Active Ingredients Do You Use?
What Side Effects May Occur?
Possible side effects include temporary reactions at the injection site, such as:
• Redness
• Swelling
• Itching
• Pain
• Tingling/pulsing
• Firmness/unevenness
• Bruising
• Discoloration
These reactions may occur immediately or later and can last up to one week. Lip injections may cause more swelling and bruising due to the unique physiology of this area. As with all injections, there is a risk of infection. This is not a complete list of potential side effects, but an overview of the most common ones. If inflammatory reactions persist for more than a week or you experience other symptoms of side effects, contact a doctor immediately.
What Should I Avoid After the Treatment?
You may be red, swollen, and tender in the treated area. This is normal and does not indicate any serious symptoms.
Try to avoid touching the treated area for the next 6 hours to prevent infection or skin damage. After this, you can gently wash the area with water and soap.
Until all swelling and redness have disappeared, we recommend keeping the area away from the sun/solarium.
Avoid taking aspirin, Ibuprofen, or Voltaren after the treatment. These medications may cause increased bleeding post-treatment.
